Θέμα: International Proxy Series 2011

Προκυρήχθηκε ξανά το 2011 τοπρωτάθλημα International Proxy Series  οργανωμένο από τον
Αυστραλό Paul Komnacki και οπου,παίροντας θάρος από τα καλά αποτελέσματα, δήλωσα συμμετοχή πάλι.
Το 2010 τερμάτισα 10ος καθόλου άσκημα για στραβάδι,μέτρησε και κ@&^φαρδία του πρωτάρη?
Φέτος θα φανεί το πράγμα.Κανονισμοί είναι ακριβώς ίδιοι με το 2010

Εκείνο όμως που θα αλλάξει είναι η βαθμολογία ,όπου  το προηγούμενο σύστημα αδικούσε κάποιον που έφερε ένα κακό αποτέλεσμα σε κοντη πίστα,απόδειξη μάλιστα ότι με τα περισυνά αποτελέσματα και τον φετεινό τρόπο είμαι 8ος(είχα πάει άσκημα στην πίστα Midford Combe που ήταν η κοντύτερη)και όχι δεν πρότεινα εγώ τον νέο τρόπο που είναι ο εξής
Ο πρώτος κάθε αγώνα παίρνει 100 βαθμούς και οι επόμενοι τόσους βαθμούς όσο το ποσοστό των γύρων του πρώτου που πέτυχαν δηλαδή αν ο πρώτος κάνει 50 γύρους και ο δεύτερος 45 παίρνουν 100 και 90 βαθμούς αντίστοιχα.

Επίσης φέτος θα γίνουν 12 έως 16 αγώνες αντί 8 πέρσυ.
Βρίσκομαι σε διλημμα για το αυτοκίνητο.Οι επιλογές είναι 2 να βελτιώσω το ίδιο η καινούργιο

Τελικα παρ'όλο τον πονόδοντο και μια καλή δοση γριππης χωρίς πυρετο αλλά με πόνους στα κοκκαλα κατάφερα και έφτιαξα καινούργιο
αυτοκίνητο για το 2011


Είναι Ferrari 250 LM όπως  έτρεξε στο Sebring του 1966 οδηγημένη από τους Swanson και Ellis και οπου εγκατέλειψε στον 46ο γύρο.
Καρότσα Airfix,σασσί ορειχαλκινο,μοτέρ BWA 12750rpm,τροχοί Penelope Pitlane πίσω,Cartrix εμπρός,λάστιχα Ninco(υποχρεωτικά)πίσω,PCS εμπρός,
guide ,γρανάζια και άξονες Slot.it
Το σασί ακολουθεί την ιδια φιλοσοφία με το περσινο με μικροβελτιωσεις,κυριως στην στήριξη απάνω στη καρότσα.
Παρ'όλα τα εμποδια κατάφερα να το εχω έτοιμο και να το δοκιμασω στην πίστα του Wolverhampton όπου ετρεχα το σαββατοκύριακο
στον αγωνα Early Birds και όπου γίνεται ένας από τους αγώνες του πρωταθληματος,όπου ήταν ταχύτερο από το αυτοκινητο του 2010 κατά
1 ολόκληρο δευτερόλεπτο,πράγμα που με εκανε να ονειρεύομαι podium(s).Ομως καθως δεν πρόλαβα να το καλύψω με klear απέκτησε ηδη
μερικές γρατζουνιες.Και αφού ταχυδρόμησα το δέμα θυμηθηκα ότι δεν εχω κολλήσει τα εμπρος λάστιχα και δεν τοποθέτησα τα εμπρός knock-offs.

Καλά μαντάτα,έλαβα μήνυμα από τον οργανωτή ότι το αυτοκίνητο έφτασε και είναι γρήγορο

Hi Alexis, your car came today and it's quick. 6.48 after only a few laps which puts it in the top 8, might even get better with a few more laps practice.

Only casualty is your driver has come loose. I'll see what i can do to glue him back in.

alexis in Greece - Violet Ferrari. Got this car down to 6.48 and could probably get better with more time. This car proves that a brass chassis can be made to go quick. Light weight gets it out of corners fast.

Από τα αποτελέσματα που έχει δημοσιεύσει όλα τα αυτοκίνητα μετά από λίγη προπόνηση κερδίζουν 2-3 δέκατα,περιμένω με αγωνία.
Απ' την άλλη μήπως δεν είναι και τόσο καλό να είμαι γρήγορος στην πίστα του?Πέρσυ ήμουνα 4ος στον πρώτο αγώνα και μετά πάτωσα.

Και να τι έγραψε ο οργανωτής στις 9-3 στο stlocarillustrated forum

Next car to be tested was mmmoose1's. It's a Carrera Aston Martin and looks way too good to be on the track. This thing looks like it should be driven in 1950's exhibition races with its long tail and skinny body and it absolutely flies around my track. Straight away it did a 6.77 second lap which puts it up there with the quick cars. After 20 laps I got it down to 6.58. Another 10 laps and it was doing 6.51. I couldn''t leave it there, so close to the 6.4''s, so kept driving and after a few minutes the lap timer beeped again with a 6.45 which makes it the fastest IPS car so far. The closest I could get my car to it last night was 6.49 and that was after a lot of laps trying.

Ειχαμε αγωνα το Σάββατο αλλά ατυχία:ξεκούμπωσε το ενα καλώδιο από τον guide κατα τ'άλλα 20η θέση,πάλι καλά

Reek, Alexis and Chenglaw had problems with their cars which put them down a few laps. The motor lead on Reek's car broke right at the guide. One of Alex's wires came out of the guide and Chenglaw's chassis bent slightly at the front so one of his wheels started rubbing the body.

Απογοητευση,18ος στον αγώνα,δεν έχω μαθει ακομη το γιατί,ο πινακας του πρωταθληματος

Λύθηκε και το μυστήριο,ξεκολλησε  ένας από του εμπρός τροχούς,είναι πλαστικοί για οικονομια βάρους,έμαθα το μαθημα μου.

3ος Γύρος Shelmore Park
Το Σαββατοκύριακο είχαμε δοκιμαστικά ιδού τα αποτελέσματα

Καθόλου κακή η έβδομη θέση αρκεί να μην επαναληφθεί ότι έγινε στους 2 προηγούμενους αγώνες:βλάβες.
Το άλλο ικανοποιητικό στοιχείο είναι ότι το τελευταίο αυτοκίνητο στον πίνακα ,Hussein,με χρόνο 7,013 είναι
το περσινό αυτοκίνητο του Phil Kalbfell στον οποίον ανήκει η πίστα και με το οποίο πέρσι κέρδισε όλους τους αγώνες, εκτός 1-2,σάρωσε γενικά,ε και το φετεινό μου αυτοκίνητο είναι γρηγορότερο απ' το περσινό του και μόλις 0,083(7,001-6,918) αργότερο απ'το φετεινό,αρκετά καλή πρόοδος.

Η πίστα


Τό δα το όνειρο,βλάβη νο 3,γρανάζι,βέβαια σ' αυτό φταίω εγώ την έκανα την μακακία,έβαλα αλουμινένιο το οποίο άρχισε να φθείρεται με συνέπεια να παίζει ο πίσω άξονας.

#33Alexis.i.G--could have done better bar the friction ntroubles in the diff, a little loose on the outer lanes, but drifted ok till the diff rubbed hard, noticeably better when regreased,tailing off again though at finish

Alexis's alloy gear hub is starting to wear and the axle spacers are not locating the gear properly,lubed up again during the event, will add some more spacers before the next round.

Αποτελέσμα 17η θέση.Μόνη παρηγοριά 6.899
 2ος ταχύτερος χρόνος του αγώνα για 4 χιλιοστά και το ένα από τα 2 αυτοκίνητα που έκαναν στον αγώνα ταχύτερο γύρο απ'ότι στα δοκιμαστικά.

Τελικά το πρόβλημα ήταν πιο σοβαρό,είχε ξεκολλήσει το πίσω δέσιμο του σασι με αποτελεσμα
να ανοιγει το μπρακετ και να χαλάει  το δέσιμο των γραναζιων και η σκληρότητα του σασί.Ο οργανωτής Phil Kalbfell το ξανακόλλησε ομως
και ελπιζ να λυθεί το πρόβλημα.

Αγωνας 4 πίστα Gotham Park Batcave,και εδώ οργανωτής ο Phil Kalbfell.
Απογοήτευση ,20η θέση.Σύμφωνα με τον οργανωτή δεν ειχα ζημια απλα το αυτκίνητό μου δεν ταίριαζε στην πίστα που είχε πολύ κλειστές στροφές




Race 4 Notes
Alexis:Very smooth and fast but just a little unpredictable on the very tight corners, possibly astiffer front may help on our tracks.
Spirit Racer: Good car but would be better if the rear tyres did not hit the body all in some corners.
Jack Beenies: Good car, different concept. Might be better with different gearing.
Oldausbloke: Smooth good car feels a little heavy. One rear axle bearing was out of its mount at post race inspection, Don''t know if this happened during the race or after.Now fixed.
Kidvoltage:Smooth good handling just a bit slow down the straights.
RIR: Smooth BUT did not like the tight corners and tended to deslot on them.
Redlyn: Fast good car BUT again tended to tip very easily on the tight corners.
P.Shepherd: Good for a Ninco,probably would benefit from a BWA motor and longer gearing.
M.Achers: This NC1 just seems to be down on power
Stubbo: Bit tippy.
Stig: Class of the field two years ago, still good BUT others have surpassed this good car,very smooth.
Austin: Bounces in the rear and probably could benefit from more body float
Bolts: This car needs a little more weight and IMO a change of gearing
Reek 455: this car is good BUT tends to over steer on the exits from the corners.
Big jack: The guide on this car is well off the track making the front wheels hard on the track
Old23 : very smooth nice car
Devious Dave: Very smooth ,except for a very slight chatter when right on the limit.
Greenman; very good handling car,would like to see this one with a good BWA motor in it.
Newso: this car lifts the inside rear wheel , but still controllable.
Wet Coast: Sound like sports racers car looks!!! Not smooth at all but still handle well.
Lowrider: Very nice chassis and body,my only gripe with this car is that I don''t like the pins sticking thru the body! Had to find something wrong as it looks so good.
M Newns: Just slow and wants to understeer.

6 ος αγώνας Cuckoo Pines

με τηλεοπτική κάλυψη

Αποτελέσματα δοκιμαστικών,και αυτή η πίστα δεν άρεσε στο αυτοκίνητό μου,αλλά έγιναν και διάφορα κουφά ο Chenglaw για παράδειγμα που βρίσκεται σχεδόν μόνιμα πάνω από την 20ή θέση ήρθε 5ος καθώς και ο Pete Sheperd που έχει κατασκηνώσει τελευταίος ήρθε 16ος,ο Spοrts Racer,νικητής του 1ου αγώνα τελευταίος.
