Πήγα να πιάσω το φορτηγό Man 10t της Revell στην 1/35 το όποιο ήταν παρατημένο 13-15 χρόνια σε μια ντουλάπα. Οταν ανοιξα το κουτι είδα οτι τότε ειχα βάλει maskol στα παράθυρα της καμπίνα για να την βάψω. Μετα απο τόσα χρόνια το maskol εχει ξεραθει και κολλησει έπανω στα πλαστικά τζάμια. Υπάρχει τρόπος να μπορέσω να το βγάλω?

Χμμμ. Δεν μου έχει χρειαστεί ποτέ αλλά θα δοκίμαζα πρώτα με ισοπροπυλική αλκοόλη, μετά με αμμωνία, βαζελίνη ή κάποιο άλλο λάδι (π.χ. WD40) και white spirit κατά σειρά. To maskol είναι υδατοδιαλυτό latex, αν δεν κάνω λάθος.

The Humbrol Maskol Masking Fluid 28ml for masking areas requiring protection during painting. It is great for use with masking any models before painting. It really is a top quality product and comes highly recommended for all model making applications. The New & Improved formula has a reduced odour. Note that Humbrol Maskol can be used on Humbrol Enamel & Acrylic paint, including Humbrol Acrylic Sprays.
Directions for use:
- Shake and stir fully before use.
- Ensure the surface is clean of dust and grease.
- Evenly apply the Maskol to the area that requires protecting using an old paint brush. Seal a small strip of paper in to aid removal once ready.
- Allow to dry to a flexible film (15-20 mins) before applying paint.
- Do not allow dried film to remain on the surface for more than 3 days.
- Peel off when ready.
- Clean brushes with cellulose thinners.
- Use water to thin Maskol if required.

cellulose thinners είναι το lacquer thinners, αλλά δεν θα συνιστούσα δοκιμή γιατί ίσως να μην αντέξουν τα πλαστικά τζάμια.

Τελικά κατάφερα να τα καθαρίσω με συνδυασμό το airbrush cleaner της Vallejo και καθαρό οινόπνευμα.
