Βάση πληροφοριών στο Facebook η White Ensign Models θα σταματήσει τη λειτουργία της στις 28 Νοεμβρίου...
Λίγο πιο συγκεκριμένα στην σελίδα της IPMS/USA αναρτήθηκε το εξής:
"Sad news. I have confirmed that as of November 28th, White Ensign Models will be shuttering their doors."

Κρίμα. Είχε μεγάλη γκάμα προιόντων.

στο Telford είχαν και τεράστιο περίπτερο και δεν ανέφεραν κάτι σχετικό.

Η White Ensign, χωρίς πολλοί να το γνωρίζουν ή να το έχουν καταλάβει, αποτέλεσε έναν από τους πιο τολμηρούς πρωτοπόρους στο χόμπι μας. Ρητινένια κιτ, φωτοχαραγμένα, δικιά της γκάμα χρωμάτων. Συνολικά έχει κάνει πολύ καλύτερο το χόμπι, ειδικά για όσους ασχολούνται με πλοία.
Είναι πραγματικά πολύ άσχημο να βλέπεις να διαλύεται μια καταπληκτική εταιρία όπως αυτή. Πραγματικά λυπάμαι πάρα πολύ... Έχοντας ξοδέψει πολλά μηνιάτικα σε προϊόντα της μπορώ να πω ότι πέφτει η ποιότητα των βελτιωτικών με το κλείσιμο της εταιρίας.
Θα βλέπω τα σετ που έχω στο στοκ μου με νοσταλγία, λόγω και προσωπικής γνωριμίας με τους ιδιοκτήτες. :( :( :( :(

Κριμα...Πλοια δεν φτιαχνω αλλα τα χρωματα της θα μου λειψουν. Ειναι με διαφορα τα καλυτερα...

Μη σκάτε... το θέμα μου "μυρίζει" εξαγορά και μάλλον δύσκολα θα τους... ξεφορτωθούμε! ::glossa::

"I am very pleased to announce that Tom's Modelworks has purchased the inventory and the rights to manufacture White Ensign photo-etch sets, resin kits and accessories. White Ensign has made outstanding products over the years and, being a modeler myself, I am happy to be able to continue to offer them to the modeling community. I am not yet certain how this will operate or exactly when all the WEM products will again be available but I will work to make it sooner rather than later. John Snyder and Dave Carter have graciously been assisting in the transition and I wish to publicly thank them for that.Once I am further along with this I will clarify how and where these great products will be available. In the meantime, I ask for your patience.

Και τα χρώματα από την Sovereign Hobbies Ltd.
We are very pleased to announce that we have acquired the rights to produce Colourcoats model paints as well as the existing stock from White Ensign Models Ltd.
We intend to offer a high quality service and aim to be fully operational by spring time 2015 at the latest. If you are desperate for any of these specialist colours in the meantime please do contact us and we shall try our best to help in the short term.
We are very excited to be able to continue the availability of these excellent paints.

Πολύ καλές ειδήσεις. Αναμενόμενες αλλά και πάλι είναι καλό να επιβεβαιώνεται η βιοσιμώτητα κάποιων καλών εταιρειών.

το site της WEM είναι πάλι σε λειτουργία, με τιμές σε US $ πλέον.
