Hi all,
Read in an article that Hellenic F16 Blk 50 use the AN/ASQ-213 HTS(Harm Targeting System) pod when flying the SEAD mission, is this this case as I've never seen a photograph of this pod on Hellenic F16's. If true do the Blk 52+ a/c of 343 Mira use it as well?
Thank you
Scott

There is no such photo since Hellenic A.F has never made such a procurement.
For heavy loaded vipers (but for ground attack missions) try a 340sqn blk52+ with LANTIRN pods...

I didn't think they did, so how do they target the AGM88 HARM without the targeting pod?
I'm thinking of building a 343 Mira F-16C(as I have already built a 340Mira "D") and was thinking of this loadout
Aim120
Aim9
AGM88
600Gal Tank
Centreline Tank
and CFT's

As far as i know, AGM-88 HARM doesn't need a targeting pod. The proportional guidance system that homes in on enemy radar emissions has a fixed antenna and seeker head in the missile's nose.

Ooops... mistake. Launching the HARM from a F-16 needs a targeting pod (HARM Targeting System), a pod mounted to the side of the F-16. Sorry

The F-16 can launch the HARM without the presence of the HTS

Carrying the HTS on board has nothing to do with launching the HARM. The HTS serves as a sensor to enhance the awareness of the pilot concerning the GBAD's emissions so he can make his attack more effective.
