My modelling blog
« στις: Δεκεμβρίου 18, 2012, 04:33:36 μμ »
Because of better view and ability to show you what's going on my workbench, I've decided to start a modelling blog. If you like what you see, you can email subscribe to the news by clicking FOLLOW button on the right site of the blog. If you have a blog and would like to be cross linked, let me know.

I thank you in advance on any comments regarding improvments of my blog and for looking at it. It should grow a bit bigger than it is now and I will probably be adding reviews and such.

Very nice implementation of an interesting idea. Your modeling pace is for sure one reason for us to keep up with your blog's updates.

One thing that I should mention: You refer to a "Macedonian example", obviously referring to FYROM (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia). I would appreciate if you change the name to FYROM since "Macedonia" is the northern part of Greece, not any kind of foreign country. Thank you in advance!

hello guys

I am well aware of the name dispute between FYROM as you call it and Greece. It was not my intention in any way to provoke you using the name Macedonian instead of FYROM. And as I know about why there is dispute as a third party observer and as I have seen politics getting dirty to steer people's mind away from current situation (we all know the s**t your country is in and your northern neighbour is not much better either). However, Republic of Slovenia recognized Republic of Macedonia by its constitutional name and this gives me the right as Slovenian citizen to use the adjective Macedonian in regards to that republic. And not to forget US, China, Russia and more than 100 other UN nations did the same and use the same adjective. So untill this dispute is settled by either Greek-Macedonian solution or by UN (FYROM is after all just an iterim solution used only by official UN documents), I won't be using FYROM word. If this is offensive to you, please let me know and I will kindly request deactivation of my account at modelclub.gr

As I said once before, I don't want to be a provoker but I am just using the name according to our foreing policiy and that of the most of the world.

and just for the interest. There are two lands that are "shared" between Slovenia and Austria - Koroska/Kärnten and Stajerska/Steirmark. And there's no dispute about that - it's just the matter of calling it Austrian Steirmark, if we talk about their land with the same name, or Slovenian Kärnten, if they talk of our side...

Ok InFlames, it is clear for me. I apologize if you think that I somehow spammed your topic. After all it was not something that you directly wrote in the forum of MC so I will keep your clarification and proceed with browsing any updates on your modeling blog.

Keep up the good modelling job,

thank you for your understanding guys. I know the other side plays dirty game as well (I have a friend from Skopje who tells me what's going on) that's why I don't want to mess with politics and keep to modelling strictly. And believe me, I am coming from a country that was repressed for over 1000 years and during history shrank from 70.000km2 to just 20.000km2 and is still now battling for its identity, especially due to the fact that some neighbours are ignoring some international treaties. That's why I don't want to mess politics with my hobbies and I promise I will use FYROM acronym when presenting it on this site.

I want to be straight with you, this was my answer before reading you new post:

''My dear friend, it is your blog and over there you can write or refer to anything as you like. But considering that you are posting in a Hellenic forum your should be more gentle and diplomatic while trying to explain or you could simple bypass this comment knowing that there was a possibility to touch sensitive ''strings''.  You did not and the way that you answer is provocative. Even if some countries have recognized FYROM with their constitutional name this does not change history, this does not change the fact that Macedonia with its Hellenic spoken habitants stands there for 3500 years  and also this does not change the way we feel about this and you should respect that. Respecting other peoples feelings, history etc. in the Nr1 in puplic or foreign affairs, I think that you agree!!!!!''

...now you have put things in the right order.
I accept that and i am happy that you clarified everything!!!
Happy modelling,

John

such understanding over such troubling matters is nowadays rarely found on internet forums.

Out of the respect, I will try to build a Greek aicraft model sometime during 2013 and I dedicate to you the next song!
